Rajashri Chakrabarti is a senior economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Her primary areas of interest include labor economics, economics of education, and public economics.
Her research focuses on school choice, accountability, school finance, implications of the No Child Left Behind Law, K-12 and higher education finance, and higher education issues such as student loans, financial aid, and dynamics of for-profit institutions. Prior to joining the NY Fed, Raji was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University in the John F. Kennedy School of Government's Program on Education Policy and Governance. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Cornell University.
