Randall Reback

Professor Reback is an Associate Professor of Economics at Barnard College, an Honorary Associate Professor of Economics of Education at Teachers College, and a Faculty Research Fellow at Columbia University’s Institute for Policy Research. His research focuses on the
economics of education, especially as it relates to domestic elementary and secondary school policies.

He has published research articles concerning school accountability programs, school choice, college guidebook ratings, teacher labor markets, school finance, and elementary schools’ mental health services. His co-authored study of the impacts of No Child Left Behind on students’ progress appeared in the August 2014 issue of American Economic Journal: Education Policy. Reback’s current research investigates the effects of school-based health centers on public school students’ health and academic success.
